A tub with clawed feet, a heap of bubbles and a duck. The bubbles are the whole trick of this drawing, and the answer is to leave most of them alone.

- Colour the outside of the tub pale blue, leaving the inside light.
- duck yellow Leave the bubbles white, adding a touch of blue only in the gaps between them.
- white Give the duck its yellow, the one bright spot on the page.
White bubbles against a pale blue tub is what makes foam read as foam. Colour the bubbles in and they turn into stones.
Things to know about Hello Kitty in the bath
- A soap bubble is two layers of soap with a film of water trapped between them, and it is around a thousand times thinner than a hair.
- The rubber duck became a bath toy in the 1940s, once manufacturers worked out how to make rubber float.

Mostly by not colouring them. Leave the bubbles white and put a light blue only in the spaces between, and the foam appears on its own.
